SBC to perform IT Service Transition for Citi in Czech Republic

Prague, Czech Republic — SBC will assist Wipro Technologies to consolidate Citi's IT operations in Europe.

Wipro Technologies, India's largest IT Services company, has partnered with SBC to perform an IT infrastructure optimization initiative at Citi. Project scope is to consolidate European operations in UK, Hungary, Czech Republic and Poland to support hubs in Warsaw, Poland and a number of Wipro's support centers in India.

SBC consultants will be leading this transition effort for Czech Republic, taking care of knowledge capture and documentation of Citi's application portfolio (including mission-critical credit-card application processing system) with subsequent knowledge transition to support teams in near-shore (Warsaw, Poland) and off-shore (India) locations.

The project is scheduled to start in beginning of September and to be completed within four months by December 2013.
